 Aside from our regular cooking classes, the Gourmet Pantry frequently holds tastings and product demonstrations.

Saturday Wine and Cheese Tastings
Every Saturday we hold a wine and cheese tasting, often with a professional wine rep. The tastings go from 11:00-4:00pm and are always complimentary! These tastings are the perfect forum to add to your knowledge of the vast world of wine.

First Fridays
The Gourmet Pantry participates in downtown Blacksburg's "First Fridays" initiative to celebrate local business. On the first Friday of the month, merchants from downtown Blacksburg host various events and tastings and offer discounts on products and services. The Gourmet Pantry hosts a complimentary wine and cheese tasting, typically from 5:00-7:00pm, on these evenings. Check our calendar below for more information.

Vendor Demos
Product and cooking demonstrations are some of the best ways to get to know our products! We often have representatives from our vendors, including local Virginia vendors, stop by to show you the latest and greatest in kitchenware and gourmet goodies. These demos are always free and always fun! 

Taste of Virginia
A few times a year the Gourmet Pantry hosts an open house with all of our Virginia vendors. Vendors from across the state come to do cooking demonstrations and tastings, including a Virginia wine tasting! Check the calendar to see when our next Taste of Virginia event will be held, and come learn about the many fine products made right here in Virginia!

Roya's Demonstrations Around Town
